Stroke Awareness and Education

Stroke Awareness

Sometimes symptoms of a stroke are difficult to identify.

Use the FAST chart as an easy way to help you recognize when someone may be having a stroke. Unfortunately, the lack of awareness can spell disaster because every second counts! An individual may suffer severe brain damage if stroke is not identified and properly treated within 3 hours!

Stroke Education

Stroke Caregivers

Stroke Caregivers…this handbook was created by our organization just for you. It was written by our group of experienced stroke caregivers for the new stroke caregiver.

We hope you can use it to guide you through the maze of obstacles that you now face. Our document begins with a brief background about stroke.

It then moves on to provide you with tips on how to handle the routine questions that you must answer, what paperwork you might want to submit and how to be their best advocate for your loved one while they are in the hospital. Finally, it addresses what happens as your loved one goes through their rehabilitation stage and hopefully on to recovery.
